Job description

As a Team Leader Site Engineering Exterior, you manage and coordinate the activities of Detail Engineering, Production Engineering and Work Preparation:

•  You ensure that the delivered production engineering meets the set functional specifications, within the applicable specifications and quality standards.
•  You ensure that the work meets the needs of production as closely as possible and that it fits well within the overall engineering of the project.
•  You lead a group of Detail Engineers and Work Planners in the field of Exterior. You do this by coordinating and fine-tuning work processes, giving instructions and checking the work delivered. Through your coaching style of leadership, you know how to take your   team to a higher level.
• You manage the development of your team and ensure that their knowledge and skills are optimally available and deployed. As a Team Leader you are responsible for the accuracy and output of your team.
• You think about the implementation and planning of work.

• Bachelor-degree working and thinking level;
• Relevant training focused on the relevant discipline in the field of woodworking or mechanical engineering;
• Several years of relevant work experience as a manager, within the production process or engineering;
• You have an affinity and feeling for the connection and coordination of engineering and production;
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.

Company profile

The Shipyard Engineering department in Aalsmeer is responsible for providing an information package to production. Most importantly, this information package is actionable. A number of disciplines can be distinguished within Site Engineering and we are currently looking for a Site Engineering Team Leader for the Exterior discipline.

The Exterior discipline carries out work on various Exterior elements of the yacht. This includes wooden exterior parts such as furniture and ceilings or stainless steel parts, such as railings or stairs. Based on your expertise, you analyze drawings or drawings from external parties. You are closely involved in the production process on the shop floor and advise on the feasibility of the parts to be produced. You ensure that possible problems in the production process within both engineering and production are identified and prevented at an early stage.
