Job description

As Engineering Team Leader, you will lead and coordinate activities of Detail Engineering, Production Engineering and Work Preparation for the Exterior discipline within the Engineering department on site. You ensure that the production engineering delivered meets the set functional specifications, within the applicable specifications and quality standards.

You manage a group of Detail Engineers and Work Planners. You do this by coordinating and tuning the work processes, giving instructions and checking the work delivered. In addition, you think about the execution and planning of work.

From your expertise you analyze drawings or drawings of external parties. You are closely involved in the production process on the shop floor and advise on the feasibility of the parts to be produced. You ensure that possible problems in the production process within both engineering and production are identified early and prevented.

Through your coaching style of leadership, you know how to lift your team to a higher level. In addition, you manage the development of your team and ensure that their knowledge and skills are optimally present and deployed. As Teamleader you are responsible for the accuracy and output of your team. In addition, you ensure that the work meets the needs of production and fits well within the overall engineering of the project.

Above all, you are someone who is excellent at being "above the project. You are good at delegating, but you think about solutions. You know when to act and when not to act. You keep people on track. Furthermore, you have:

• A completed technical BSc. education in the direction of the maritime industry or demonstrable BSc.working and thinking level;
• Several years of relevant work experience as a manager, within the production process or engineering;
• Affinity and feeling for the connection and coordination of engineering and production;
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing.

Our client is a luxury custom-build yacht builder with multiple locations in the Netherlands. At this yard location, yachts from 40 to 80 meters are built.from 3 dry docks.
